Shoot and Share
Shoot and Share by Stuart Sipahigil
With the many, many ways today one can share photographs online, it is only a matter of time before the plethora of choices brings you to a halt or creates so much confusion, you can't decide on how to proceed. Stuart Sipahigil is ready to help with his latest release from Craft and Vision titled Shoot and Share.
Stuart provides a sound approach on helping you decide if you should share and why it may help you to better your photographic skills. He helps you put together a plan on how to proceed with sharing and what will work for you. He provides a summary of some of the popular sites available to get this done. While one thinks that online is the only way to participate in sharing, Stuart also reviews other methods such as printing that can also provide a vehicle to showing your work.
I feel this book will benefit the beginner and intermediate level photographer tremendously, especially if going online and posting your images is something you have thought about or have struggled with. While this book may not be targeted at the advanced photographer I do feel it can help organize and focus your goals for online sharing and blogging. One thing I would have liked to see in the book is discount codes to some of the photo sharing sites mentioned in the book. Martin Bailey provided codes in his Making The Print ebook and it provided added value to the reader.
Also, I would like to add that one of the photo sharing sites mentioned in the book is Zenfolio which I use. They have recently added a blogging feature which is very handy and allows you to use one provider for all your hosting needs. If you decide to use Zenfolio, use my referral code BTC-B1E-U4F for 10% off.
You can save $1 off the price of Shoot and Share by using the SHARE4 code at checkout or use SHARE20 to get 20% off when you buy 5 + PDF eBooks from the Craft and Vision Collection. These codes expire at 11:59pm(PST) on April 28, 2012.
